Dolly Parton Is Raising Money For Tennessee Wildfire Victims

Country singer, Dollywood founder, and Tennessee native Dolly Parton is giving back to her community after it was ravaged by wildfires.
At least seven people were killed in wildfires that spread across the Great Smoky Mountains National Park over the last week. Thousands of people were evacuated and hundreds of homes may have been destroyed. Parton, whose Dollywood Park narrowly escaped the fires, pledged on Wednesday night to donate $1,000 a month to every family that lost their home in the fire for the next six months.
Parton and her Dollywood Foundation also created the “My People Fund” to allow other people who feel so inclined to donate to the cause as well.
